Travis County Voter Registration Pop Up
The county is hosting a Voter Registration Pop-Up! This will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 11am - 2pm at ACC Highland Campus. This is a chance for folks to register to vote before the voter registration deadline on October 5th. We'll have organizations from around Travis County tabling and sharing their information. There will also be a raffle that anyone who attends can enter. Bike Kitty will be there with FREE bike clothes.
Team Snacks Cycling Clothing Swap
We will be bringing cycling clothes to this event - WTF folks are welcome to come out to Dear Diary Coffeeshop at 1212 Chicon St.
Team Snacks and GRLSWRL are co-hosting a gear and clothing swap for WTF people who like riding bikes, skating, and spending time outside! Bring whatever clothes or athletic gear you want — it doesn't have to be strictly cycling or skateboarding related, but of course, this audience would be into that stuff! We'll donate whatever clothes are unclaimed at the end of the night to Out of the Closet. This event is BYOB, but your coffee shop purchases are greatly appreciated by the Dear Diary Coffee staff.
Bike to Work Day
Stop by on your way to work, remote or otherwise! We will be at Dear Diary Coffeeshop’s adjacent outdoor space just north of 12th and Chicon in East Austin.

Reuse Challenge for Bike Month!
Are you crafty? We wanna know what you can make out of an old cycling jersey or bike shorts (YES even the chamois)! Maybe a lightweight bag/tote? A dog toy? A cat bed? There are many possibilities!
We have received more donations of kit than we are able to “rehome” to new cyclists for various reasons. It is our dream to be able to find ways to repurpose some or most of these items!
We have 5 locations in the Austin area that folks can go to pick up cycling kit to craft with:
Trek Bicycle Lamar - 517 S Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX 78704 Hours: 10-6 M-Sat, 12-5 Sun
Cycleast, 1619 East Cesar Chavez, 7 am- 7 pm daily
Patagonia, 316 Congress Ave, 10am-6pm Mon-Fri, 11am-6 pm Sat-Sun
Grassiron, 5555 N Lamar Blvd B-110, Hours: 7am-12pm and 4-7:30 pm Mon-Fri
Yellow Bike Project, 1216 Webberville Rd, 12 pm - 5 pm Tues-Sat
Take as much as you need, as you may need to play around with it and each piece will be different.
Submissions can be emailed to laura@letsridemeow.org and will be due by May 31st, 11:59PM, which is the end of Bike Month! Please make sure to include a small description of how the item was made. The winner will receive a prize of a $50 gift card from Mellow Johnny’s bike shop! We even made a short video with ideas for the public to get inspired. We can’t wait to see what everyone makes!

We will bring a collection of gently used cycling clothes, of a range of sizes but especially larger sizes, including cold weather items, so that folks who may have started riding in the summer can keep it up come winter! Bike to Work Day
Celebrate biking to work! We’ll be collaborating with Dear Diary and the Violet Crown women’s team for this stop. We’ll have some select donated items available for FREE - including high viz items to help you be seen while cycling, cycling caps, jackets, and more. You can also bring extra cycling apparel to donate.
Gravel Locos
We’re attending the Gravel Locos event in Hico, TX. At this point it is TBD whether we will have a table set up - but if you are going to the race, and want to bring kit to donate, let us know and we can arrange a meetup. Email laura@letsridemeow.org.
